Russ is the President of Bixler Insurance, Inc., and started with the agency back in 1975. He specializes in Personal, Farm, and Commercial insurance. With his extensive industry experience, and knowledge Russ looks forward to providing clients with smart, comprehensive insurance solutions. He graduated from Indiana Central, which is now University of Indianapolis, in 1973. Russ is very active in community service groups throughout Adams County. He lives in Geneva with his wife Susan, and has two sons, John and Andrew.

Matt has been with Bixler Insurance, Inc since 1991. He became a partner in 1995. Matt specializes in commercial insurance, ranging from main street merchants, to large manufacturing. He also works closely with small and large agribusiness exposures, as well as all aspects of personal lines insurance. He received his Certified Insurance Counselor certification in 1995. Matt also currently serves in the Indiana General Assembly representing the 79th district. He lives in Berne with his wife Joye, and his three daughters Kara, Kristen, and Kelli.

Doug has been with Bixler Insurance, Inc since May of 2006. He became a partner in July 2008. Doug specializes in commercial insurance, ranging from small business owners to large manufacturing. He also specializes in all aspects of personal insurance. Doug is the managing partner of the Decatur location. He lives in Decatur with his wife Theresa and son Derek

John is the newest member of the Bixler Insurance Inc. team. He is also the third generation in a family business that has been around for over 60 years. John does a little bit of everything at Bixler Insurance Inc. He can help you with personal, commercial, farm, and life insurance. He comes to us from Indianapolis, where he worked for Northwestern Mutual Life, and a printing and marketing company. John is also one of the newest members of Rotary International in Berne. He is excited to be back in the area, and looks forward to serving the community.

Steve began his insurance career in 1979. He joined Bixler Insurance May of 1992. He is a multi-line agent,writing farm, crop, home, auto, commercial,life and group health for his clients.Steve and his wife Sheryl live on a small farm west of Portland. They have two grown children, Kyle and Kym and three grandchildren, Ava, Ella and Eli.

Dave has been in the insurance business since 1980. In June 2006, he sold his agency, and became part of the Bixler Insurance, Inc. team. He recieved his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in 2002. Dave sells personal, commercial, farm, and health insurance. Dave is a Decatur native, and is married to Mary Thieme Schroeder. Dave has two children, two stepsons, and four grandchilren.

Amy is our personal lines specialist, and has been in the insurance industry since 1990. Amy can help you with all your personal lines needs including; homeowners, auto, recreational vehicle, and personal excess liability insurance. With access to multiple insurance companies, she will research to find the best combination of price, coverage, and service for you and your family. Amy resides in Berne, and has two children, Drew, who lives at home, and Amber Steiner, who also lives in Berne.

He the re-certifies each yea with those companies that offer the best and most comprehensive coverage for seniors. He also has a wide range of Long-Term Care insurance plans available. Jack, and his wife Claudia, reside in Fort Wayne, IN.

Rod is a graduate of Purdue University. He came to Bixler Insurance, Inc. after many years of experience in the electronics industry working as an Engineer and Director of Quality. He specializes in individual health insurance and group health insurance. He is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters. He and his wife Joan live west of Berne. Rod will provide that special individual attention to help you select the medical plan that best meets your needs, health conerns, and financial goals followed by “Service Beyond the Contract.”

Terry has been associated with Bixler Insurance Inc. since 2001. Terry specializes in life Insurance needs for you and your family, and also business life insurance needs. On the business side Terry can do buy-sell, key person, and non-qualified deferred compensation. He brings over 25 years of experience to our customers. Terry served as president, and membership chairperson for the ECIALU (East-Central Association of Life Underwriters). He was honored in San Antonio, TX for his outstanding growth for life underwriters. Terry attended Ball State University. He is married with 2 children, Tamra and Jason, and three grandchildren.
